Strandkorb, List

Sylt is located on the German-Danish border in the north sea. Famous especially among VIPs, the island can only be reached my plain or train, crossing an artificial causeway, called the Hindenburgdamm. Here are some of the places to see when you visit Sylt.

Here are some hints about sites and places to visit.

  • Gosch:
this traditional fish restaurant is located in List, the northern-most town of Germany. Choose from numerous fresh fish meals and don't miss the garlic shrimps!
  • Kampen:
the probably most expensive place on Sylt where you see Maseratis, Porsches and BMWs where ever you look. Walk around in the numerous galleries and boutiques.
  • Keitum:
This beautiful historic town is located in the south-east of the island. Rent a bike a cycle there from Westerland.
  • Romo:
Only 30 minutes by ferry north of List lies the Danish island Romo in the north sea. Bring your bike and make a half-day trip to the island.
